So the Dude and I went to town this morning. We got some Yokohamas on the RAV, as the old Bridgestones are apparently now hard to come by.
Then we went to Future Shop, where I saw the camera I will next make my own, once I find it at a price I can afford. I see all you DSLR people snickering at me, but it’s really all I need, and the menu system works for me, and with luck it will survive when I drop it as I am bound to do.
Then we went to the mall and I got a couple of things for the Dude’s birthday, and some (Tigi! yay!) hair products for the new ‘do (as soon as I can take a picture of it, I promise I will post; the ones from last week are so bloody pinky/orange that I don’t want them here. Of course this place is pink, isn’t it…I may rethink that). Got some underwear on sale, got quite depressed roaming through the mall, hearing 12 year old kids talking about their gift cards. Grasping, evil little things that they are, with far too much cash.
Went to Costco. Went to Canadian Tire, where I found another gift for the Dude and a hat for my mum and some anti-fogging stuff to help with the often steamy situation in my Vespa helmet. Some steam would be good right about now: Sun Peaks is dry as ever. My hair looks good though :p
Got the Dude to grill the ribeyes, I made Lyonnaise potatoes from the Galatoire’s cookbook I got for Christmas, and made a simple tomato salad with balsamic and EVOO. Bottle of Church & State Syrah, nice.
