I don’t know really why a Kennedy aristocracy should seem so much more palatable, or why the Kennedy Opinion should matter so much, but the fact is, when someone with the surname Kennedy who hails from New England speaks, people listen.
Caroline Kennedy and Edward Kennedy have both endorsed Obama’s candidacy, joining the ranks of the Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and Joanna Newsom, who recently encouraged Sydneysiders to try to influence their American friends to support Obama. Some people mock musicians using their bully pulpit to talk politics…but there’s no reason to suppose that someone like Win Butler isn’t very interested in–and informed about–politics. So you go, Win!
I think a Clinton in the White House would probably be better than more or less any of the Republicans in the running, but most of the people whose opinions I respect in these matters are supporting Obama. Course I can’t vote in the US. But anyway. I find it interesting that the Kennedys (unlike the New York Times) are supporting Obama, and basing it on the fact that the man has inspired the youth to become involved in a way Hillary has apparently failed to do. They think he’s getting people to “do for their country,” so to speak, and they like it. I like it, too. So you go, Obama! too.
(I know, there should be links, maybe later.)

Whether you can vote or not, it couldn’t hurt to follow the issues. You’ll get a lot of bias from Obama and Hillary supporters. You might change your mind if you watched the debates…..but maybe you do. And Hillary does have a few endorsements of her own.
